Penally W.I. Market

A few ladies from Penally village used to take cakes and garden produce to the W.I. Market in Manorbier. Eventually, it became known that Penally wished to have its own market and, with co-operation from Manorbier, the Penally W.I. Market was established in 1979.

The first markets were held in the old Village Hall, which was a 1914 ex-army hut. With the desire for Penally to have a new and better village hall, plan were set. In July of 1984 the W.I. market were the first organisation to use the new Village Hall.

The Penally W.I. Market is open each Wednesday from 10.00 to 12.00 from Easter till September.

Wood turning, started as my retirement hobby but soon took over most of my spare time. It is a wonderful medium to work in as most people will say when running their fingers around its polished surfaces. The pleasure comes for me when you meet someone and listen to their comments - good or bad.
