Lisa and Anthony welcome you to the Swanlake Inn. We are situated on the main road from Tenby to Pembroke, in a pretty little village called Jameston.
|
The "Swan" is a traditional 16th Century Inn with real ales and good home cooked food. It is also the local sporting, political, religious and social centre of the universe. "Who's doing what. how's the weather" and old stories and quick wit run rampant in these walls. "If only the world could settle arguments with a purchase of a pint of beer". I don't think that the nature and spirit of the people has changed much over the years. This is a good thing..... quote from ' Take a Walk' - Carle '94 The Swanlake Inn has three main bar areas two of which still sport the real coal snug fires which looks and feels very welcoming on a cold dark winters evening. |
| We have a large Bar that can seat up to 65 people. The facilities consist of, Everything you need to keep the children happy. |
| This room is also available for functions, such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries etc. We have a dance floor and also a disco area and the large screen TV is often used for our Karaoke nights! |
| This is the Flemish Bar, it is cosy old fashioned room mainly used for dining. The walls of this room are still wattle and daub which you can still see, also on show is the old bread oven situated next to the open coal fire. The ceiling of this bar consists of a very large collection of old jugs that hang from the old wooden beams and gives this room an olde worlde feel. | ![]() |
| It is rumoured that many years ago, only businessmen and landowners were allowed into this bar. It was also rumoured to have been used as a gambling den with many businesses being won or lost in the room through the turn of a card. |
